So, there’s this teeny tiny little thing I’ve casually mentioned many times on Twitter, lately, but still haven’t mentioned here: technically, I’ve been blogging a lot since the beginning of 2014. And when I say a lot, I mean every single day since January 1st, which as of today means 86 times. But just, you know… on another blog.
This other blog is on Tumblr (aka the Vortex of Various Work Shared Without Proper Attribution) because I wanted a dedicated space for a new project: the 365 Drawing Experiment!
The project, in a few words, is posting online 365 hand drawn or decorated 3 by 5 index cards, in any technique (analog only, no digital alteration allowed), one each day, until the end of the year, to see if I will get better in the end, or get closer to finding my own style.
To my surprise and delight, so far, so good, I haven’t skipped one day, so if you’re curious, you can go and have a look at the 86 first drawings on verteadelie.tumblr.com. There’s meh stuff, good stuff, ugly stuff, what was I thinking stuff, but more importantly: plenty of stuff! If you have a favorite, I’d be happy to know!
Où il s’avère qu’en fait, j’ai posté frénétiquement depuis le 1er janvier 2014, mais… sur un autre blog. Mon projet pour l’année 2014 est de poster 365 dessins / collages / etc. sur cartes bristol, entièrement à la main, une par jour, pour voir s’il y aura une amélioration visible à la fin de l’année, et si j’aurai une meilleure idée de ce que pourrait être mon style.
À ma grande joie (et surprise), pour l’instant, je m’y tiens et n’ai pas manqué un seul jour. Si vous êtes curieux, vous pouvez donc voir mes 86 premiers dessins sur verteadelie.tumblr.com.
